Tri Cities Grain was formed in July of 1999. We are operating a 500,000 bushel river terminal on the Snake River in Franklin County, and we have storage available for up to 3.3 million bushels! It will be important for you to keep title to your grain to utilize the 60 day LDP program and be able to use Franklin County's PCP's.

The 3 owning companies of Tri-Cities Grain are Tidewater Barge Lines headquartered in Vancouver, Wa., Northwest Grain Growers headquartered in Walla Walla, and Central Washington Grain Growers headquartered in Waterville. Tidewater is the largest barge shipping company on the Columbia and Snake River system, and our elevator is located on their property near Pasco. Northwest Grain Growers annual sales average $70 million per year, and they operate 17 million bushels of storage in Walla Walla County with 3 barge loading terminals. Central Washington Grain Growers average $50 million of annual sales and also operate 17 million bushels of storage in Douglas, Grant, and Lincoln Counties. These 3 partners give Tri-Cities Grain a strong financial base to build our business on.

Damon Filan is the manager and merchandiser and Jay Atchison is our merchandiser. Damon has 22 years of grain experience in the Tri-City area and was the manager of Continental Grain Company until their sale last year. Jay Atchison has 24 years of experience in the grain business and comes from Cenex/HSC in Moses Lake where he has been merchandising grain since 1993. We plan to handle all the wheats (SWW, HRW, DNS, and White Club) as well as trading corn and barley into the local feed markets. We have access to over 100 trucks and can provide competitive rates for both field and grain bin loading. We plan to operate our elevator 7 days a week with long hours during harvest. We should have small lines as we will be able to unload 30 trucks per hour!

We are a licensed and bonded Grain Company with the state of Washington. We will provide competitive prices, fast payments, flexible discount schedules, and timely market information. We want your support and look forward to doing business with you. Please give us a call at (800) 862-8529 or locally at 545-0900. Let us know your marketing and storage needs.
